Six-year-old mare by „Bordeaux“ – „Alabaster“
Qualified for the DKB federal championship for the six-year-olds in medium class.
Cecil was trained gently by Christian Flamm in order to improve strength and endurance step-by-step. They won several young horse dressage tests at German L and M level. One of the highlights was the qualification for the DKB federal championship in 2018 with a score of 8.1. Moreover, Cecil already competed successfully at a medium levelled dressage test with a double bridle and was ranked at the second place with 69.62%.
Her sire, “Bordeaux”, is known as a “high flyer” in the FN breeding evaluation, being one of the best young dressage sires throughout Germany. In 2009, he was awarded as the champion stallion of the Netherlands. In addition, Bordeaux won the performance test in Ermelo, was fourth in the final of the World Championship of the six-year-old dressage horses, and won the final of the Dutch stallion class in s´Hertogenbosch in 2012 / 2013. Since then, he won various Grand Prix competitions. Bordeaux descends from one of the most successful dam lines in the world which unite the best of the Holstein, Oldenburg, Westphalia and Trakehner populations.
The brood mare “Calaida” comes from the federal champion “Alabaster.” With “Freiherr”, “Furioso II” and “Prinz Miro”, three successful stallions were combined within her pedigree. Moreover, Calaida was the brood mare of “Donnerball” who was ranked at the second place at the federal championship as a four-year-old as well as the World Championship as a six-year-old. Other successful descendants are the Brilliantring mare “Clara” (by “Donnerschwee”), and the state premium mare “Cassandra” (by Bordeaux) who is a full sister to Cecil.
